Camp officially opens to all of our campers in just FIVE DAYS! We live all year for this, and to say we’re excited would be an understatement. :) Staff training is well underway, and we’ve been truly impressed by our returning and new staff alike. On Monday we welcomed our first group of Sprouts, who’ve been having a blast playing, wading in the pond, and even going on a bear hunt! The office is buzzing with energy, and we simply can’t wait kick off our 60th summer with you.
A sure sign that camp is right around the corner is the appearance of the campers’ tribe tents and the docks in the swimming pond. Mark and the crew (including many of our talented staff members) had the docks in and the tents up in no time.
Activity updates! At Adventure Challenge, our beloved climbing wall got a face-lift of sorts, with new routes and handholds that offer unique challenges for campers of all ages.
Campers can expect other exciting updates at the challenge courses as well.
Additionally, our new Nature Head, Anastasia, along with Mark Taylor, welcomed a Dowser from Vermont to design a labyrinth that will be built by our 2019 campers! Below is the design…
We have also added some terrific new options to our online camp store, including a commemorative 60th Season tee-shirt, and a super soft ringspun tee in new colors! Visit the camp store today!
We look forward to welcoming our camp families at Open House this Sunday , June 23rd!
Open House does not have scheduled presentations; you are welcome to come anytime within the 1:00 – 3:30 time frame. Please be advised that we do close Open House at 3:30pm, in order to have a final meeting with our staff in preparation for your children’s arrival the following morning. :)
(And if you are unable to make it to Open House, not to worry. We will warmly greet each and every camper the first day – and every day! – as they get out of cars and off of buses, and we will escort them to their tents, and introduce them to their counselors.)
