Join Our Waterfront Team
The Waterfront Team helps campers become safer, more confident swimmers while creating an encouraging and fun experience at the waterfront.
Waterfront Opportunities
-
Lifeguard and Swim Counselor: Leads instructional swim lessons, supervises free swim, and helps campers build confidence in the water. These staff members are also assigned to a camper group and join that group during arrival, lunch, special events, and closing activities.
-
Dedicated Lifeguard: Focuses primarily on active surveillance and safety coverage throughout the camp day. This role is a great fit for certified lifeguards looking for a shorter workday with limited responsibilities outside the waterfront.
Certification
Waterfront staff must hold or obtain current lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications before beginning work. Sewataro provides a FREE certification course in June. Information about this will be shared with qualified applicants during the hiring process.
What Our Waterfront Staff Have in Common
Waterfront staff are attentive, dependable, encouraging, and able to remain focused in a busy environment. They communicate clearly, respond calmly in safety situations, and understand that campers arrive with different levels of swimming experience and confidence.
