Based on the Red Cross Learn to Swim program, the Sewataro Swim Program meets campers right where they’re at, and teaches them the skills they need to learn to swim and become stronger, more confident swimmers, at every level. Our waterfront staff of approximately 25 LGT certified swim instructors is led - and overseen - by 4 experienced Aquatics Supervisors. Campers have instructional swim each day.
After an initial assessment, campers are placed in an appropriate group based on their swimming ability, and a corresponding location based on both their ability and their height. Campers work on their swim skills daily, in small groups led by one of our trained swim instructors. Once they master the skills taught to their group, campers are advanced individually into a new group where they work on the next set of skills.
