Head of the camp’s Music Studio activity

Join us as the Music Studio Head at Camp Sewataro, where you’ll lead campers in exploring their musical talents and creativity! In this role, you’ll be responsible for selecting age-appropriate material and demonstrating the use of various instruments and audio equipment, including drum kits, keyboards, guitars, amps, microphones, and speakers with campers in our older sections. You’ll explain and demonstrate essential musical concepts such as melody, harmony, song structure, ensemble playing, timing, and instrument replication. Additionally, you’ll engage with your assigned group in the mornings before opening exercises, during lunch, and at the end of the day, fostering a supportive and fun camp environment.

Requirements:

  • Required: CPR certification. (Camp provides this training in June)
  • Preferred: Teaching certification.
  • Experience: Teaching music, playing an instrument, and classroom management preferred.
