Joining our Junior Camp team is Ava W. Ava may be new to staff, but she is no stranger to Sewataro. Her own kids have been campers at Sewataro for many summers now and she is very excited to help create new and exciting memories for the sprouts.
“Summer is a time to relax, have fun and unwind from the busy school year and Sewataro has done that for my children. My children love the community and family they create over the summer and are always sharing their adventures. I’ve been a camp counselor and I am a teacher at heart and want to be a part of the fun. Spending time outside, making new discoveries, making friends and having fun is what summer is all about and I look forward to doing all that, and more, this summer. I’m also excited to welcome our youngest campers to Camp Sewataro and help foster a love of camp life and positive camp experience.”
This past year she has started subsitute teaching at Sunny Hill Preschool, but has taught 1st and 2nd grade in Brookline in her past. She loves spending time with her family, taking walks, playing games, going to the beach and trying anything new!
