Due to the growing number of diseases related to ticks and mosquitoes, Sewataro has implemented an Insect Control plan.
The property is sprayed with bifenthrin two times a year, once in the spring and once in the fall – the two hatching periods for ticks.
The campgrounds are being sprayed today; this includes all the perimeters of the property, as well as all the edges of all walking trails throughout the camp.
We also use a garlic spray twice a summer to repel mosquitoes (also a repellent to ticks). This is done the evening prior to each Overnight, as the campers will be on the property the following evening, when mosquitoes are the most active.
